I am a complete beginner to any program like this.I have video recordings from my DVR that is in a format that needs to converted to Windows Movie Maker My first problem is that there is no information on the left hand side of the tool bar (if that is the correct name for it) On the right hand side, I do have on the right hand side wmv. so in that regard, I appear to have the right hand side correct in order to convert the dvd or cd into WMV format, but the left side is blank and I cannot get any information in the boxes in order for the change of extensions to be formatted.
